On weekends I trade the backlog for a hoe, a shovel and a machete. In Maceo, Antioquia — in Colombia's Magdalena Medio — I'm transforming 16 hectares degraded by decades of cattle ranching into an organic fine-aroma cacao farm that grows with the native forest, not against it.
Soil regeneration with zero synthetic chemicals, water conservation, returning wildlife, and a first harvest still years away. My longest-term product yet.
